About First Presbyterian Church of Dothan

First Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a reformed denomination that was established in 1973. The PCA’s mission is to be: “Faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.” Although the history of the PCA only goes back to 1973, our theological heritage goes back to the Protestant Reformation.

First Presbyterian Church was established in 1900 in downtown Dothan. We moved to our current location in 1973. We have a daycare ministry, preschool ministry and a classical Christian school.

As a church, we are committed to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, to proclaiming Him in our city and among the nations, and to growing in His grace so that we may be able to live lives pleasing to Him.

In this season of life at FPC, God has given this church a vision of “Proclaiming Christ’s Glory to Transform Lives.” We do that primarily through five values: Worship, Community, Discipleship, Outreach and Revival.
