About St John Lutheran Church
We are an Orthodox, Sacramental, Liturgical, Missional congregation affiliated with the North American Lutheran Church.
St. John Lutheran is above all a congregation that seek to honor God–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit–in word and deed. We use four words to explain how we do this.
Orthodox: We are committed to the historic teaching of Jesus and his apostles that has been preserved in Scripture and passed down to us through the 2,000 year history of the Christian Church.
Liturgical: As 21st-century disciples, we follow the liturgical pattern of the early church. In both our traditional and contemporary services, you will hear ancient prayers, confessions, and creeds.
Sacramental: We believe that God has come to us in the man Jesus Christ, and we also believe that he continues to come to us as we are baptized into his name and then gather around his table each week and feast on Holy Communion.
Missional: We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others, near and far. We seek to have a consistent focus beyond the four walls of our church. We encourage our members to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus in a lost and hurting world.
