    Job Description

    Pastor Profile:

First and foremost, we are looking for a man who has been called by God to lead and minister to people in the Stamford CT area. A man who is willing to walk by faith, lead, organize, motivate, mentor, be compassionate, and be willing to serve the community.

    ·       Raise salary package for a minimum of 3 years.  Salary/Benefits can be satisfied through employment and/or outside funding sources.  Over time, as the church grows and financially increases, leadership will set aside money for the pastor’s salary.  Long term goal is to fully fund the pastor’s salary.

    ·       Build collaborative relationships with other churches within the BCNE/SBC in the area.

    ·       Deepen the working relationship with the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.

    ·       Assist, develop, and promote ministry opportunities with One Tough Cookie.

    ·       Develop relationships with the unchurched and unevangelized in our community through personal relationships and ministries in the church (i.e. Project Hope, One Tough Cookie, BGC, etc.).

    ·       Create a discipleship/mentoring plan for new and existing followers of Christ.

    ·       Subscribes to the Baptist Faith and Message.

    Description and Guidance

Stamford is a leading and influential city in Connecticut.  More than 125,000 people live in the city.  The greatest wealth disparity between the rich and poor is found in this area.  The city is transient so a number of people are always in transition.  Evangelical presence is very small.  There is great need and the potential harvest is huge.

Stamford CT has a 34% higher cost of living when compared to Atlanta GA. https://money.cnn.com/calculator/pf/cost-of-living/index.html.  Anyone who desires to come, must count the cost.  However, we do believe there are good opportunities for support raising from our network.

Overall, starting a church in Stamford will be a tremendous challenge.  But we are committed to God’s man and we are excited about the future of Living Hope Church.  We believe a new church can make a profound difference in this city.  We are looking for someone of the same mind and willing to do whatever it takes to reach people for Christ. Thank you for your interest!
