    Job Description

    Brighton Christian Church is looking for a Lead Pastor who will cast vision and help lead us in taking our next steps as a body of believers. BCC is a non-denominational church with a vibrant past and has great potential for the future.

    About the Lead Pastor Responsibilities: To Train Believers for God’s Glory

    God gave pastors/teachers, ‘for the quipping of the saints for the work of service to the building up the body of Christ’ (Eph. 4:12)

    The Lead Pastor position at Brighton Christian Church requires a strong servant leader, called by God, who has a genuine love for God as described in Matthew 22:36-39. The Lead Pastor will successfully impact the ministry in the following areas:

    • Ministry of the Word – Truthfully presenting the Word of God on a regular basis (Sunday mornings, Bible studies, etc.) in a way that leads to life-change and deeper commitment to Christ.
    • Prayer – Faithfully appealing to and depending upon God alone for the needs of His flock. Spends regular time praying for protection, guidance, insight, wisdom, fellowship, outreach and victory over temptation.
    • Leadership – Boldly providing biblical guidance, vision casting, oversight and administration to the ministry and function of Brighton Christian Church.
    • Shepherding – Coordinate with the elders and church body to care and help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the flock.
    • Evangelizing – personally sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through his own life, as well as encouraging the church to do the same in theirs – individually (one on one), corporately (church outreach) and vocationally.

    Education & Experience

    • Has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) involving either Biblical or Church ministry studies (from an accredited college, university, or seminary)
    • 5+ years of pastoral ministry experience preferred
