Victory Baptist Church (VBC), located in Mt. Juliet, TN, is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in our stated mission of “Connecting People to Jesus.”

Candidate Characteristics: We are seeking a Senior Pastor who is dynamic in his preaching and teaching skills. He should be able to help guide the church in developing a vision that is anointed by God. He must be able to lead, guide and support other ministers on staff. He should also be relational and nurturing with our congregation and help cultivate a culture of unity within the church body.

God’s Word: Our new pastor will believe the Holy Scriptures are authored by God Himself and are true and without error. His exposition of God’s Word will be unapologetic, relevant, authentic and applicable to us personally and corporately. He shall be known by others as meeting the Biblical expectations of 1 Timothy 3:17, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Peter 5:1-3, Ephesians 4:11-15 and 2 Timothy 4:1-5.

Experience: Our new pastor will need to have at least 10-15 years of experience as a Pastor or similar position evidencing a proven work ethic, successful leadership skills and ability to preach God’s Word. Preferably have fruitfully served as a Lead Pastor or similar role with a multi-level staff in a church.

Education: Our new pastor, at a minimum, should have a graduate level degree such as a Pastor of Divinity or Pastor of Theology from an accredited, conservative seminary.
