Director of Worship

Conditions of Employment:
● Part-time
● Stipend of $3600
● Target is 3 to 5 hours per week or as approved by the Session

Primary Function:
To lead and develop our worship team and services on Sunday morning alongside the lead pastor

Responsibilities:
● Manage all aspects of music for Sunday morning worship service including;volunteer scheduling, song selection, propresenter, A/V set-up
● Identify and assist worship leaders (paid weekly leaders) and musicians
● Oversee the songbook and weekly selection of songs
● Help develop non-Sunday worship experiences and events (i.e. worship nights, seasonal services, etc)
● Oversee and schedule AV Team

Qualifications:
● Proven commitment to know and follow Jesus Christ inwardly and outwardly.
● Music background is preferred, in a Christian worship leadership context
● Must be proficient in at least one instrument alongside the ability to lead vocally
● Good email communication and organizational skills
● Heart for developing the worship culture and leaders at Valley Hope
● Has the ability to handle song selection consistent with VH theology
● Knowledgeable of basic AV technology
● Bonus: a heart for developing youth worship leaders

Accountability:
● Supervised by Lead Pastor, as head of staff, and under the guidance of the Session
