The Preface
Oceanside Community Church is looking for a full-time Music & Media Pastor (part-time will also be considered). Oceanside is a revitalized church in beautiful Parksville, BC (Vancouver Island) that has more than quadrupled in size over the last five years and continues to grow. As such, we have transitioned over a few short years from a solo pastorate with a single service to a multi-staff and multi-service operation. Our existing ministry team consists of five pastors (two full-time) and a part-time music director.

The Position
The M&M (or Worship Arts) pastor will provide pastoral oversight to two main areas: our music ministry (main priority) and media and communications. Other key areas of contribution—dependent on the candidates’ gifts and our future hiring—may include community outreach, hospitality ministry, administrative leadership, and/or facility oversight. A detailed job description with qualifications will be provided to potential candidates or you may request it. This is a full-time position with salary and competitive benefits provided. Salary will depend on or consider the candidates experience, education, and other factors.

The Person
We are looking for a person deeply devoted to Jesus, His Church, and a life of prayer and worship, who has a passionate, pastoral desire to see people transformed through music and worship. The candidate should have significant skills in recruiting and building a music team, A/V equipment, graphic design, video editing and livestreaming, and social media platforms.
