    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Description

    The Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for the oversight of the children’s ministry (birth- 5th grade) and the children’s ministry volunteers, as well as assisting with the volunteer-led youth ministry. At ECC, we want to be a community where children and parents can thrive in their pursuit of Christ’s truth, be incorporated into the church body as families, and be equipped to fulfill God’s mission in the world.

    Responsibilities

    1. Oversee and organize the Children’s Sunday School classes, Children’s Church, and related events.
    2. Recruit and train teachers and volunteers for children’s programs and classes and recruit and assist youth ministry volunteers.
    3. Communicate with parents and help equip them for the task of spiritually mentoring their children.
    4. Work in conjunction with the ministers and elders to promote the children’s program to the church and integrate kids into congregational life.
    5. Work in collaboration with other ministry teams to facilitate family-based ministry.
    6. Work within the existing structure of children’s volunteers, offer constructive criticism, and navigate helpful changes.
    7. Communicate and enforce ECC’s safety policies for children.
    8. Oversee the purchase and distribution of curriculum and supplies.
    9. Create, maintain, and manage the children’s ministry budget.
    10. Regularly report to the ministers and elders about the status and needs of the children’s ministry.
    11. Additional duties assigned by the ministers and elders.
