Introduction: The Youth Minister will be the spiritual advisor and counselor to all youth from nursery age through senior high.  They will have the responsibility for organizing, directing, and operating the youth programs.  They will function under the supervision of the Senior Minister with overall guidance coordinated through the Elders.

Position Description: Cumberland Christian Church is located on the Far East side of Indianapolis in a community of about 6,000 residents.  While the church has been blessed to be in existence for more than sixty year, we are looking forward to what God has in store for us.  The church is in a rebuilding phase with our youth program as many of our students have graduated out of our high school programs.  We are looking for an individual who is ministry-minded, has a desire to see young people grow, and will serve as a team player.

Qualifications: We would prefer someone from a Bible College affiliated with the New Testament Christian Churches/Churches of Christ in the Restoration Movement who either holds a degree or is pursing a degree from such institution.  Married is preferred.  Maintains a spirit of humility and exhibits a willingness to learn.

Compensation: The church would love to hire someone full-time for this position but is also willing to make this a part-time position.  Compensation would depend upon the number of hours available and level of education.  We also have a parsonage available that has been recently renovated.  As an added bonus, we would be willing to help pay for ministry-related schooling that helps obtain a degree or certification.
