SunHills church is seeking a dynamic Kids Ministry Director to add to our team!

Job Status: Part-time (10-20 hrs/wk), 2 weeks paid time off per year

Job Goal: The SunHills Kids Ministry Director will provide vision and leadership for ministry to kids which guides them into living in God’s love and living out God’s love.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

Kids ministry development

Prayerful vision and leadership for ministry to kids – helping them live in, and live out, God’s love
Love, enjoyment, and understanding of kids – developmentally, uniquely, etc; engaging kids with fun, love, joy, and care, within a safe environment physically and emotionally
Cultivation of relationships and connections for the kids
Reaching new kids (and families)
Sunday ministry and beyond – events, during the week, etc

Volunteer Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and encourage others for building a thriving kids ministry team
Appropriate safety protocols for all

Family/ Parent Engagement

Interact with parents, caretakers, and families with warmth, enthusiasm, and care
Communication with and resources for parents that support their role in the spiritual development of their kids

Organizational Oversight

Communication – verbal and written as needed for all of the above
Use of technical tools – Planning Center, video, etc.

Qualifications:

Ministry out of the overflow of your relationship with Jesus
Personal, relational engagement with people in the church and community
Team engagement with the staff; consistent with our core operating values of:
humble – in genuine connection with God (Jn 15), in our relationships, and in teachability
healthy – pursuing health spiritually, emotionally, relationally (and physically too)
hopeful – believing and looking for the best; genuine gratitude and faith-filled steps forward
hungry – in sincere passion, initiative, and investment; and commitment to the mission
Prior and solid experience in working with kids and in kids ministry
