Lead Pastor or Co-Lead Pastors Part time
@ Coast Vineyard Church Email Job Print JobJob Description
We are a family of believers who value impacting our immediate community. We are open-hearted to the Church’s need to evolve in order to serve those living in a time of unrest and shifting culture.
As a church, we have worked on various outreaches and ministries throughout the years. Our current outreaches and ministries are
- Lincoln City Food Pantry on our campus
- A community playground on our campus
- A tiny home project for transitional housing in cooperation with the State of Oregon, Lincoln City and NW Coastal Housing that is currently in the application and permit stage
- Pastoral counseling
- Participating in the Spiritual/Emotional Care subcommittee developed after the Echo Mountain Complex fire in 2020 that severely impacted our community
- Integrating the arts (visual, movement, music, poetry) with worship and ministry.
We are looking to have a team approach to leadership that includes having a lead pastor, or co-lead pastors, to lead us in what the Spirit is already doing. We have a relatively large core of faithful believers who are active team members in the church offering support for the challenges of pastoring. These team members care about the following traits:
- Having a Spirit-sought and Spirit-led lifestyle that places a high value on use of spiritual gifts, being filled with the Spirit, praying for healing and taking time for spiritual discernment with life dilemmas, both independently and in a community of faith.
- Ability to integrate their God-given vision for Coast Vineyard Church with the church’s current strengths and spirit-led projects which have already been launched.
- Ability to utilize a team by recognizing strengths, prompting growth, delegating, modeling vulnerability and transparency, and willingness to ask for help.
- Locally missionary-minded, open to new or perhaps unconventional ways for a church body to function in order to meet our community where they are.
- Willingness to engage in difficult conversations in a relational way with team members, church family, and with seekers wrestling with various issues or conflicts with the Church.
- Someone who will approach the surrounding community with grace and humility, and who is not given to promoting polarization.
