Immanuel Baptist Church of Morgan City, Louisiana is an established, mid-sized, community church.  Our multi-generational church family is looking for a part-time Student Pastor who will shepherd, protect, organize and lead our 6th through 12th-grade Student Ministry.  This person must have a sense of a call from God to this role, knowing ahead that the primary objective will be to disciple the current students at Immanuel, partner with parents to provide resources to disciple their student, and reach the surrounding schools with the Gospel.  The Student Pastor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Connect with parents and become acquainted with the personal lives of students, reaching out to them by phone, social media, visitation, etc
• Participate in the life of the Immanuel Baptist church community
• Disciple students to provide spiritual growth and accountability
• Prepare and conduct services for students on Sunday mornings (Sunday School) and evenings (Student Life Group)
• Responsible for acquiring, teaching, and training volunteers
• Maintain a student ministry oversight team of no less than 4 persons to be a guide and resource for student ministry as a whole
• Conduct 1 event for students each month (YEC, Student Weekend, Camp, etc) and any coordinating fundraisers
• Be present at Immanuel staff meetings
• Must be the lead sponsor for YEC, Student Weekend, and Camp
• Execute their budget within the confines of the approved annual budget
• Pre-schedule all events no less than 6 months in advance, ensuring proper advertising and that all information is given to parents and the community of faith. Events must remain balanced throughout the year and be coordinated with the Church calendar of events Ensure the vision of student ministry matches the mission of the church
• Have an understanding of missions, supporting missionaries on the field, and a vision for sending students on mission trips
