The Basics:
The Children’s Director will work under the direct supervision of the Senior and Associate Pastors, as a paid staff member of FBC. The Children’s Director shall exercise all powers delegated to them by the senior pastor. This position will require at least 20 hours per week and salary will be determined based on experience.

• Ability to develop a strategy and implement tactics to achieve strategic goals.
• Ability to lead children’s Bible studies and worship services
• Having an eye for details and the capacity to see the big picture
• Communicating well to children and adults and have a high tolerance for stress
• Ability to take complex spiritual matters and communicate them in a way that children can easily understand and apply them in their lives
• Inspiring and motivating others to serve
• Ability to work with computers and mobile devices and learn new skills such as: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (at least some knowledge of the program), Google Applications (Docs, Forms, Calendar, You Tube, Drive, Gmail), Canva
• Willingness to learn Church Admin Software (Realm).
What you will be doing:
1. Develop and implement children’s church curriculum that promotes spiritual growth.
2.Organize children’s church services on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening as well as scheduled special events.
3. Attend a weekly staff meeting for planning, prayer, and spiritual development.
4. Connect volunteers and paid nursery workers to areas of service and maintain background checks and required training of children’s workers.
5. Schedule workers for needed services and find replacements for workers that are not able to serve.
6. Work with web developer to update and maintain areas of the website focused on children’s ministry.
7. Develop and execute social media strategies for communicating to parents the goals and objectives of the children’s ministry.
8. Oversee committees and work with chairperson to establish mission statements for children’s ministry that are congruent with the overall mission of the church. Helping establish goals for committees and assist in achieving goals that promote spiritual growth for the entire family with a focused emphasis on the children.
9. Assist with the master calendar scheduling of all church activities and events taking place in or on our facilities to coordinate children’s activities that complement the overall strategy of the church.
