Qualifications and Characteristics
• Personal relationship with Christ
• Active devotional and prayer life
• A love for young people and a passion to see students develop and grow in their relationship with Christ College degree and/or experience in Youth Ministry
• Commitment to the biblical theology of Hudsonville Reformed Church
• Ability to teach, mentor and disciple
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Understanding & biblical discernment of current youth culture
• Active member of Hudsonville Reformed Church

Responsibilities
• Lead middle school and high school programs
• Develop a passion for prayer and worship with the students
• Equip leaders to build relationships with youth
• Partner with parents in discipling their students
• Develop and communicate annual schedule of events and activities
• Develop and implement a long-term youth discipleship plan, which includes mission and outreach opportunities
• Support students in school and social events
• Seek out, mentor and encourage attendance of students not actively involved in youth ministry
• Actively participate in worship services as agreed upon and arranged with the Senior Pastor and Worship Leader
• Seek to connect with younger students through Children’s Ministry Team activities (VBS, Sunday School, mid-week programming, etc.)
• Build relationships with other churches and community organizations
• Report to and work closely with Pastor of Congregational Life
• Be accountable to members of the Session
• Work with the Student Ministries Team as a member
• Other duties as assigned by the Session
