We are looking for a creative, community-minded person to bring leadership and operational oversight to various missional activities within our congregation. Working in collaboration with our pastor and leadership team to implement our vision to “foster a faithful presence,” the successful applicant will champion programs and initiatives that help build missional capacity in our congregation.
If you love Christ, love the church and love seeing God’s people equipped and empowered to pursue the mission of God, please prayerfully consider joining our church as the Pastor of Missional Discipleship. Bring your ideas, passions, gifts and talents to our community and help us grow.
Areas of Responsibilities
Working with our Campus Pastor, the Pastor of Missional Discipleship will provide creative, supportive, empowering leadership to various missional activities that our congregation engages in both locally and globally. Programs and initiatives that would be supported by this position would be the Free Food Program, Blue Sky Learning Lab, Refugee Sponsorship and Global Mission Partnerships. Ministries that are overseen, supported and developed by this position are Small Groups and the Alpha Course. Discipling opportunities this position could initiate and support are cohorts, seminars and courses that help foster a biblical imagination for God’s mission and cultivate missional practices and postures as a congregation.
Additionally, the Pastor will support the Campus Pastor in any and all aspects of ministry; including (1) maintaining a regular pastoral presence at corporate worship gatherings, (2) planning and leading special services, (3) preaching the Word and administering sacraments, (4) working relationally and systemically to engage newcomers and members into the missional life of the church, (5) creating opportunities for leadership development.

Formal education from a Bible college or a theological seminary will be an asset, as well as other forms of faith-based leadership development programs.
Outside of formal education, our matrix of selection is a combination of assessing character, competence and chemistry.
