We are looking for a creative, community-minded person to bring leadership and operational oversight to various missional activities within our congregation. Working in collaboration with our pastor and leadership team to implement our vision to “foster a faithful presence,” the successful applicant will champion programs and initiatives that help build missional capacity in our congregation.

Areas of Responsibilities
Working with our Campus Pastor, the Pastor of Missional Discipleship will provide creative, supportive, empowering leadership to various missional activities that our congregation engages in both locally and globally. Programs and initiatives that would be supported by this position would be the Free Food Program, Blue Sky Learning Lab, Refugee Sponsorship and Global Mission Partnerships. Ministries that are overseen, supported and developed by this position are Small Groups and the Alpha Course. Discipling opportunities this position could initiate and support are cohorts, seminars and courses that help foster a biblical imagination for God’s mission and cultivate missional practices and postures as a congregation.
Additionally, the Pastor will support the Campus Pastor in any and all aspects of ministry; including (1) maintaining a regular pastoral presence at corporate worship gatherings, (2) planning and leading special services, (3) preaching the Word and administering sacraments, (4) working relationally and systemically to engage newcomers and members into the missional life of the church, (5) creating opportunities for leadership development.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a combination of education and experience that demonstrates that they have a missional heart for the church. They will be a self-starter and have the ability to teach, facilitate groups, and equip God’s people to serve his mission in the church and the world. Formal education from a Bible college or a theological seminary will be an asset, as well as other forms of faith-based leadership development programs.
Outside of formal education, our matrix of selection is a combination of assessing character, competence and chemistry. First, we’re looking for a person who is self-aware, humble, faithful, trustworthy and has a bias towards action. Second, we’re looking for a person who can create content, communicate effectively, build systems and structures and lead groups of people. Cultural competency and strong leadership and administrative skills are an asset. Third, we are looking for a person who is collaborative and team-oriented and who can work adaptively in a work environment with continual adjusting priorities.
Salary Range
$19,000 to $26,000 annually (0.4 FTE). NOTE: compensation will be commensurate with education, experience, certification(s).
