Student Director’s Key Duties:
• Prepare and lead Students for the 9:15 a.m. Sunday Bible Study and any other Sunday activity.
• Prepare and lead Students for the Wednesday evening activities.
• Meet with the pastor on a regular basis for prayer, ministry plan, personal & spiritual growth, worship service & special event planning. The pastor and student pastor will set the time, location, & specifics. Meet with the student ministry assistant on a regular basis.
• Work with the worship pastor regarding the worship aspect of the Student Ministry.
• Assist the Children’s Ministry Director with students participating in Vacation Bible School and/or AWANA.
• Take the lead regarding the church’s student ministries.
• Give input regarding the student ministry aspect of the annual church budget.
• Maintain office hours as agreed upon by the pastor.
• Attend weekly staff meeting.
• Attend church events & meetings as deemed appropriate by the pastor.
• Participate in trips & events as deemed appropriate by the pastor and staff.
• Participate in students’ school extracurricular activities when available to do so.
• Meet quarterly with the Personnel Committee for the first year.
• Be on call for emergencies in the pastor’s absence.
• Use creative measures & ideas to help Cinco grow and move forward for God’s glory!
• Balance the In-reach-Outreach-Up-reach aspects of student ministry
• Develop and implement a multi-faceted approach to Cinco’s student ministry:
o Be Comprehensive 25% – Big picture of worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, evangelism/missions.
o Work on Connection 25 % – connect students to God, to you and yourself to them, and to others inside and outside the walls of the church.
o Develop Creativity 25 % – create an attractive atmosphere, spirit of anticipation, a variety of experiences.
o Be Captivating 25% – research and use motivational resources/techniques that attract students and adults to the student ministry. Pour into current leaders and constantly develop potential leaders. Answer the who, what, when, where, why, and how of Cinco’s student ministry.

As a Christian and staff member of Cinco Baptist Church, I accept The Bible as God’s written authority for faith and practice. By God’s grace and the power of The Holy Spirit, I will strive to live out the teachings of the Scripture and reflect Jesus daily. I will guard the integrity and reputation of God’s Kingdom and Cinco B.C. through my testimony, both privately and publicly. I will refrain from behavior that could bring criticism or negativity upon The Lord, His Kingdom, and Cinco B.C. This includes, but is not limited to, all public use of intoxicating beverages, illicit substances, inappropriate language and behaviors, and posting on or using social media in a manner not acceptable for a follower of Christ. I accept Paul’s instructions to those holding pastoral/ministerial offices as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
