Primary Role: The primary role of the Worship Leader is to craft an engaging and purposeful worship experience during our Sunday morning Worship service, leading the congregation in song.

Recommend Weekly Hours 8-10hrs Breakdown: 4 hours on Sunday, 4-6 during week

Pay: $200 weekly

The Win: Crafting excellent, inspiring, and distraction-free worship services is the primary goal for the Worship Leader. It is necessary to balance commitment, time, and talents of many volunteers to move the organization forward.

Responsibilities: 1 • Preparation, planning, musical and creative brainstorming, directing, and overseeing the music & tech teams involved in the weekly Sunday services. • Developing and mentoring individuals and teams in their knowledge of their instruments, vocals, sound, and technical capabilities. • Overseeing all aspects of the Sunday Worship Service – Production, Musical Worship, Audio/Visuals, Set-up etc. • Organizing rehearsals with band members • Lead the tech team in training & scheduling • Help lead 17th Street to feed both current Christians & Non Christians • Help develop a yearly budget for the worship/creative arts of 17th Street Christian Church. • Be available for a monthly leadership meeting with Sr. Minster. • Effort must be made to minister to everyone during worship service without isolating one certain age group or demographic. • Be available for other church sponsored worship needs such as “church camp, CVMFC, outreach events, etc.” • When available perform other duties assigned by Sr. Minister • Be constantly striving to improve in both leadership and Musical skills.

Reports To: • The worship Leader will report directly to the Sr. Minister & be in communication with him for planning of services.

Supervises: • Worship Band members, tech team (light operator, sound mixer, video producer, camera operator, computer operator etc.)
