Job Description
Responsibilities:
Preach and teach the Word of God through Biblically grounded sermons, teaching and prayer.
Provide pastoral counseling when needed.
Embrace our small town community and work to grow our ministry.
Lead a small staff and serve as Moderator of the Session.
Encourage and at times lead small group Bible Studies.
Participate actively in church functions.
Establish new opportunities for our church to connect with the community.
Be able to incorporate current and traditional technologies as part of worship, programs and communications
Qualifications:
Ordained, or able to be ordained in the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, with 5 years of leadership experience as a
pastor or in another relevant position.
Agreement with the ECO essential tenets and ECO polity.
Communicates a clear and consistent message based on the Bible as it is written & demonstrate an authentic life led by Christ.
Be able to speak of the current culture & events and relate the Biblical worldview and God’s view for how to live out our faith.
Be unafraid to speak truth on issues and be bold when necessary. Be able to inspire from the pulpit.
Has a natural orientation toward building relationships and teamwork within the congregation. Encourages members to lead
programs and small groups.
