FBC Bay St. Louis, MS, is seeking a worship pastor to help lead our congregation. Located in an eclectic, coastal town with great potential for growth, we are a multi-generational church with a blended worship style. The candidate should be skilled in leading worship and have the desire to shepherd our congregation.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Status: Full Time FBC Mission Statement and Purpose: The primary purpose of all staff members is to fulfill the mission of FBC: to gather together in worship, grow together in community, and go together to all nations. Primary

Function: To shepherd God’s people in the specific area of worship.

Responsibilities: – Serve as the primary worship leader for the church – Work alongside the Senior Pastor in developing the order of service for weekly services – Lead rehearsals and arrange worship music as needed – Cast vision and supervise the efforts of the music and media ministry staff and volunteers – Spiritually shepherd members of the music ministry – Raise up worship leaders and musicians from within the church – Develop and oversee the annual budget for music/audio/video needs – Monitor the purchasing, maintenance and replacement of all music related equipment, supplies and instruments – Maintain the music library and oversee music related licensing (maintain and track all music licenses, fees, and memberships) – Coordinate special events with an attention to detail – Endeavor to stay abreast of developments in the field of music leadership – Assist the Senior Pastor in ministering to the church body – Demonstrate servant leadership through personal witnessing, praying and a disciplined lifestyle – Keep regular office hours and attend weekly staff meetings – Carry out other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor Skill

Sets/Giftings: – Pastoral heart and a call to the gospel ministry – Skilled musician – Team building personality – Proficient in music software including Planning Center and ProPresenter – Ability to incorporate various styles of music – Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt to a vast array of personality types and spiritual depths – Maintains both integrity and confidentiality – Bachelor’s degree preferred – A passion for the church to grow in its walk with Jesus and to make disciples of all nations .
