Job Description and Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

To disciple and help develop Christ focused relationships with middle and high school students and serve as a spiritual leader for our students.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Leads the Student Ministries (SM) team by:
  • Collaborating with Rise leadership to implement and further the vision for SM and expand the ministry
  • Recruiting SM leaders and volunteers.
  • Scheduling, sharing vision, training and encouraging SM volunteers on a weekly basis.
• Teaches compelling and relevant lessons and establishes next steps for students.
• Responsibly stewards the annual SM budget.
• Establishes and grows the mentor team for SM.
• Oversees the selection and implementation of content and curriculum.
• Communicates effectively with staff, volunteers and parents.
• Collaborates and facilitates internal and external events for students.
• Supports Family Ministries Director and helps to transition kids from Rise Kids to Rise Students.
• Develops rapport with local schools and collaborates on events/programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Two or more years of experience in student ministry preferred
