Worship Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, TN, is seeking a full-time Pastor of Families and Worship.

Responsibilities: Family Ministry (60%): Develop and implement a vision that aligns with the values and mission of the church. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to families, including couples, parents, children, and youth, to help them grow in their faith and develop strong Christian relationships. Oversee and coordinate family-oriented programs, events, and activities that promote spiritual formation and discipleship within families. Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate family ministry into the overall church program.

Worship Leadership (40%): Lead and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all worship services, including selecting music, building and leading a Worship Team including Instruments, and leading a congregational worship experience.  Recruit, train, and support worship team members, musicians, vocalists, and media personnel.  Foster an atmosphere of worship that encourages congregational participation and engagement. We currently use Behringer X32 with p16 in-ear monitors and ProPresenter.  We have the beginnings of a worship team.

Teaching: Provide opportunities for growth and discipleship through small groups, Bible studies, and other teaching platforms. Equip and empower others to serve in teaching and leadership roles within the worship and family ministry. Pastoral Care: Visit families in their homes, hospitals, and other settings to offer prayer, comfort, and support during times of crisis, illness, or celebration.

Administration and Leadership: Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers involved in worship and family ministry, providing ongoing support, encouragement, and appreciation. Delegation is essential to facilitate discipleship as well as training members to be more engaged with the church. Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to establish and implement strategic goals and objectives for the worship and family ministries. Other duties as assigned by the pastor.

Qualifications: Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ, exemplifying a personal and growing relationship with Him. Ordination or licensed in Southern Baptist ministry is desired. Have experience and competency in leading worship services. Strong biblical knowledge and the ability to effectively teach and communicate God’s Word. Experienced in developing and implementing family ministry programs and initiatives. Have a heart for evangelism and discipleship. Adherence to the doctrines and beliefs of the Southern Baptist Convention according to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.  Competitive salary and benefits. 2 weeks vacation.
