Second Baptist Church Bowling Green, Mo is looking for a part-time Youth Minister that will develop and maintain strategies which will allow Second Baptist Church to minister to and disciple 6th – 12th grade students. The position will be 15-20 hours a week along with monthly youth events. Located 30 miles south of Hannibal, Mo. Salary is $20,000 a year with a potential $10,000 higher education scholarship after a year. Position Expectations:

• Plan and oversee all youth activities and programs including Wednesday Night Youth Group and Sunday Morning Sunday School.
• Promote intentional discipleship with students.
• Build relationships with the students and parents through a variety of fun and purposeful activities.
• Develop and promote biblically based education through Sunday School and other programs.
• Work to integrate student into areas of service and the ministries of Second Baptist Church.
• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to the students and their families.
• Recruit, train and oversee volunteer youth staff.
• Maintain open communication with church staff, parents, youth, and members of the congregation.
• Meet with Senior Pastor regularly for encouragement, communication, and ministry review.

Requirements:

• Be able to share their testimony that includes moment of salvation, believer’s baptism and call to ministry.
• Be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000), or able to defend disagreements with.
• Exhibiting a lifestyle in line with the leadership qualifications in 1 Tim. 3
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be willing to adhere to the Church’s Child and Youth Safety policies.
• Required to become a member of Second Baptist Church
