Qualified candidates must be a dedicated follower of Jesus with a growing relationship with Him. They also must be in full agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. They must be a member in good standing of Sharon Baptist Church. If not a member when called by the church, they will complete the process within three months of the date of employment. The ideal candidate will embrace Sharon Baptist’s statement of faith, and will manifest a hearty support for the leadership, mission, and vision of the church in general and specifically for that of the lead pastor.

The music ministry coordinator is responsible to assist the church program organization to develop a comprehensive music program. They will consult with other staff members concerning activities, policies, and procedures that relate to their areas of responsibility. They are responsible to the church under the direct supervision of the Pastor. They will lead in planning, promoting, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive music program including leading worship and working with choir and vocal or instrumental ensembles. They will lead in planning, promoting, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating special musical events such as Christmas and Easter concerts. They will work to enlist and train workers for the music ministry of the church. They will prepare and maintain a budget for applicable areas of ministry. They will prepare slides and announcements for worship services using ProPresenter or other applicable software. They will serve on the church council. They will assist the Pastor in worship planning as requested and will preform other duties as needed as defined by the pastor.

Salary is $10,000 per year
