Qualified candidates must be a dedicated follower of Jesus with a growing relationship with Him. They must fulfill all the requirements of a pastor/overseer found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, and be in full agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.  They must be a member in good standing of Sharon Baptist Church. If not a member when called by the church, he will complete the process within three months of the date of employment. Beyond the doctrinal and ethical implications in being a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and embracing our Statement of Faith, he will manifest a hearty support for the leadership, mission, and vision of the church in general and specifically for that of the Lead Pastor.

The youth pastor will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, training, and supervision of all activities of the student ministry (Grades 7-12) at Sharon Baptist. They must be a gifted teacher who also possesses the ability to train and equip others to work in student ministry. They must have a strong desire for seeing students come to faith in Christ, and grow in their faith. They must desire to incorporate the student ministry into the larger ministry of the Church and to build mentoring relationships between students and mature Christian adults.

The youth pastor will regularly update and maintain the church website and social media accounts. They will meet regularly with the lead pastor and church leadership. They will also be required to preform all other duties as may be assigned by the lead pastor or church leadership.

Part time/ Bi-vocational salary- 15,000-20,000 depending on experience
