Plymouth Congregational Church, a thriving church in the United Church of Christ, would like to bring on board an Associate Pastor for Church Life, Youth and Mission.

• Church Life: Collaboratively helping inspire member engagement across all generations, especially through creative fellowship and volunteer events – working particularly closely with our new lay-led Board of Church Life as we shape this emerging ministry initiative.
• Youth: Building the church’s Youth program, connecting with our Youth and their families. We are eager to capture the momentum from our just-completed 26-member Confirmation class (9th-12th graders) as well as a new “Mid-Youth” initiative for our 5th-8th graders.
• Mission: Planning and leading mission outings for all ages, locally and beyond – working closely with our Board of Outreach and Mission (BOOM) and our Emergency Response Fund.
• Worship and Other Roles: Regularly helping lead worship (800 church members and attendance of 200+) and other pastoral roles as they come up in our always changing church and city. We are not rigid in how we conceive of pastoral ministry and encourage creativity, initiative and working collaboratively across ministries.

The pastor will be part of a team with our Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor, who have been at Plymouth eight years and eighteen years respectively. Reflecting the spectrum in our church, we are open to candidates from various denominational and non-denominational backgrounds.

This is a full-time position and compensation includes salary and benefits as well a private residence on our beautiful 11-acre campus – which is easy walking distance from the center of downtown Coconut Grove.
