    Job Description

    Church of Christ, Presbyterian (CCP) is seeking a part-time Director to lead our Children’s Ministry, cultivating an environment where kids can explore, experience, and flourish in the love of God.

    Job Description
    This is a part time (20 Hours) position overseeing our children’s ministry. We call our children’s ministry “Grow Zone”. The Children’s Ministry Director is expected to partner with parents, teachers, and leaders in shepherding the children of our church and beyond.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Pray for the children, parents, teachers, and leaders
    • Assess/choose/purchase/create curriculum for Grow Zone
    • Provide lesson and activity supplies, videos, worship songs, etc. for Sundays
    • Recruit and schedule teachers and leaders for K-5th room, preschool room, and nursery
    • Equip teachers and leaders by providing lessons and activities, training, encouraging, praying for them, and touching base on Sundays before class
    • Regularly inform parents of updates and upcoming events.
    • Communicate what’s coming up in Grow Zone and share highlights/photos to Communications Team and periodic Ministry Moments during services
    • Attend staff, Session, and other meetings as needed; communicate praises, prayer requests, metrics and proposals regularly. Be liaison of children’s ministry information.
    • Research competitive information, trends, and ideas in children’s ministry and keep ministry fresh and energized

    • A faith and theology that is firmly grounded in the Bible
    • A love for children and an enthusiasm to see them grow as believers
    • A competency for organization and an ability to think critically and plan ahead
    • An ability to communicate well with both students and parents
