Job Title: Minister of Youth (full-time position)
Description: Northside Baptist Church in Princeton, KY, is prayerfully seeking a Minister of Youth who will direct and oversee the Youth Ministries of the Church. The ministry target for the position is 6th through 12th grade. The Minister of Youth will educate and minister to the youth.
Qualifications: · Must have a heart and passion for youth and have an understanding of their unique needs. · Must be doctrinally sound. · Must submit to background and credit checks. · Minimum of B.A. or B.S. in an appropriate Christian ministry discipline preferred.
Responsibilities: · Meet monthly with Youth Ministry Team to plan upcoming events (camps, mission trips, outreach activities, etc.), discuss and resolve ministry challenges and opportunities, share praises, and spend time in prayer about the Youth Ministry. · Provide support to the volunteer ministry leaders that will assist with educating the youth (Sunday School, Wednesday Night, Sunday Night, etc.) · Actively participate in outreach ministry. · Follow-up with youth prospects. · Assist the Pastor in ministry calls/visits, especially those that relate to youth and their families. · Lead the Wednesday evening worship/Bible study for youth. · Communicate with youth and parents about ministry plans and goals (i.e. newsletter, bulletins, letters, announcements, etc.) · Be visible and available to youth (i.e. visiting their schools) · Develop the yearly budget for the Youth Ministry, and monitor expenditures throughout the year. · Compile a youth directory to distribute to Youth Ministry teams and volunteer workers. · Actively Recruiting and training volunteers. · Be supportive of church-wide ministries.
Work Schedule: · Flexible, but regular office hours are expected. · All Sunday services (morning and evening). · Wednesday evening services. · Must attend youth events and activities planned. · Other special events as needed.
