Position Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Worship Director to join the Mustard Seed Church team. The Worship Director will:  direct and manage all aspects of our worship services, lead the church in corporate singing and worship, to the glory of God, ensure that the services are engaging, meaningful and theologically sound.  The Worship Director will be a formal member of the church staff.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead weekly Sunday worship service
  Coordinate guest worship leaders on weeks the Director is not leading the Sunday service
• Select appropriate music and liturgy for each service
  Lead the congregation in worship through song, prayer, and Scripture reading
• Participate in various church activities, such as Bible studies, small groups, and outreach
• Develop and maintain relationships with members of the congregation
• Work with the church staff to ensure that all services are properly planned and executed
• Manage the worship team and coordinate rehearsals

Experience and Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience leading worship services (preferred)
  Proficiency with musical instruments
• Knowledge of different styles of music, such as traditional, contemporary, and gospel
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  Ability to effectively lead and engage a congregation in worship
• A passion for worship and spiritual growth
• A commitment to understanding how the Biblical definition of worship, and how corporate singing is a part of general worship

The position is part time, estimated 10-12 hours a week.
