Position Summary: To lead the church in worship with passion, love, and care for the congregation as worship connects them with God.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. In conjunction with the pastor develop worship experiences for PSBC. 2. Cultivate a heart of worship through leading choirs, praise teams, and special music, to draw people to Jesus. This includes cultivating the hearts of children, students, and adults to lead in worship and to worship. 3. In conjunction with the pastor and music committee, develop and lead music ministry goals/objectives, organization, calendar and administrative process. 4. Develop with the pastor and music committee an annual budget. 5. Ensure that appropriate arrangements are made for worship to be carried out during times away. 6. Be available for consultation of music for special projects, ministries, weddings, funerals, and other church-related activities as requested. 7. Oversee the church’s music library and equipment to include recommendations for purchasing musical materials, supplies, and/or equipment for use in the music ministry. 8. Ensure compliance with copyright laws and internet regulations in the music ministry. 9. Attend staff meetings, church council meetings, and other committee meetings as assigned.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge: 1. Three to Five Years of Experience leading choirs and music programs 2. Proven proficiency in musical knowledge 3. A basic understanding of Biblical worship, and program development 4. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. 5. A team player 6. Understanding of modern worship software 7. Ability to sing and/or play a musical instrument preferred
