    Job Description

    Rosetown Community Church is seeking a new Lead Pastor to both lead our congregation and continue in the work of reaching our community.

    Required Skills

    – Feels called by the Lord to this assembly with a pastor’s heart to care for and love the people and community. – Able to build and articulate an effective vision for the church in continuing our mission to reach our community with the gospel. – Is willing to personally engage in community life as a representative of the church and lead the church corporately in missional outreach. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills. – Ability to bring leadership to and work with the Pastors Council in a mature and godly manner. – Effective administrative ability including the oversight and management of the governance and operational needs of the church including but not limited to: financial management, pastor council support and direction, potential volunteer and staff oversight. – The ability to preach/teach biblical truth with passion and effectiveness during our worship gatherings, seeking to engage all that gather in person or online. – A pastor who inspires and encourages others to step out into their giftings. – A desire to see the church grow in faith and spiritual maturing through spiritual

    Education Required

    A diploma in theological/biblical studies is preferred but not required (equivalencies will be considered).

    Experience Required

    The ideal candidate should have ministry experience and be a credential holder in good standing with the PAOC or is currently eligible for credentials with the PAOC according to By-Law 10 of the General Constitution. They should live a lifestyle consistent with Biblical standards, modelling and living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
    Expectations of Our Next Lead Pastor
    • Education, Credentials & Experience:

    – A pastor who inspires and encourages others to step out into their giftings.
    – A desire to see the church grow in faith and spiritual maturing through spiritual disciplines such as prayer, fasting, biblical study and authentic worship.
    Personal and Professional Life:
    – Seek the Lord daily through personal devotions and prayer.
    – Be an ongoing learner through personal and professional growth.
    – Stay informed about current theological issues as well as relevant social/cultural issues.
    Compensation:
    – The compensation package for the Lead Pastor will be commensurate with experience and qualifications including salary, benefits, cell phone, etc.
