    Job Description

    ABOUT THE CHURCH

    New Life Christian Church is a twenty-year-old non-denominational Christ-centered, Bible-based church located in Wildwood, Florida with its roots and beliefs in the Restoration Movement. The church campus consists of 20 acres that includes a Fellowship Hall, a relatively new 500-seat Sanctuary, and a 6-acre lot for future growth. A new expansion project for the administrative offices and Fellowship Hall is set to begin in the fall. The church is located next to a 55+ retirement community of 150,000 seniors called The Villages and serves an all adult senior-based congregation of approximately 600 members.

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    New Life Christian Church (NLCC) is searching for an Associate Minister that has experience preaching and teaching the Word of God and providing administrative leadership, shepherding, and support for church Ministries. The Associate Minister will assist the Senior Minister by providing oversight of the administration of staff, day to day operations of the church, as well as lead Men’s Ministries, promote Small Groups, and preach when required to do so. The ideal candidate would be 50+ years of age and an “empty nester”.

    The candidate must accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ and believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    1. Serves as Associate Minister and provides support to the Senior Minister, staff, and ministry leaders to ensure a coordinated system of operation and leadership for NLCC.
    2. Coordinates with the Senior Minister, oversight of the daily operations and functions of the church campus and office administration.
    3. Coordinates with the Senior Minister, the administrative oversight and implementation of the Bylaws, policies, and procedures for the Senior Minister and NLCC Elder Board.
    4. Coordinates the development of church ministries, operating budgets, and programs approved by the Senior Minister and the Elder Board.
    5. Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Minister and/or the Elder Board.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    1. Models Christian ethical conduct and is self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
    2. Coordinates work responsibilities with Senior Minister and works effectively with staff and church members, demonstrates self-control, and exhibits an attitude of mutual respect and tolerance.
    3. Demonstrates the ability to use software applications for work productivity and collaboration.
    4. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
    5. Understands work assignments may change or be added, as determined by the Senior Minister and/or Elder Board.

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate would be a college / seminary graduate, 50+ years of age, and an “empty nester”. This job position requires strong administrative and leadership skills and teaching and preaching experience.

    1. Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible College, Seminary or University.
    2. Preferred: Master’s Degree from an accredited Bible College, Seminary or University
    3. Must have a commitment to a long-term Minister position with NLCC.
    4. Must have faithful ministry experience with competency in leadership, organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships.
    5. Computer proficient and able to relate to and contribute to social media assignments.
