Job Description
This position is classified as a full-time (40 hrs/wk) regular employee, benefit-eligible, exempt position and is not eligible for overtime. Mix of standard and non-standard office hours and days.
Purpose of Role
This position requires a Christ-centered individual who will develop and implement strategies to mobilize PCPC members and linguistically diverse individuals from our neighboring communities. This leader will provide quality training, feedback, and support for teachers, while fostering a learning environment that is accessible and impactful for students. He/she must effectively manage ESL systems and processes in order to facilitate language learning, achieve growth initiatives, and promote fruitful ministry.
Key Job Responsibilities
I. Coordination of ESL Program (80%)
• Recruit, train, and support ESL volunteers
• Recruit, support, and retain ESL adult students and families
• Relationship building with key community leaders
• Data management to track effectiveness of mobilization strategies
• Integration and collaboration with PCPC Ministries
• System and process management
• Empowerment of ESL volunteer instructors
• Communications and publications
II. Provide Admin/Coordinator Support for City Missions (20%)
• Foster relationships with assigned ministry partners
• Assist with special events and tasks that are sponsored and/or hosted by PCPC as needed
• Meet bi-weekly with the Director of Missions
• Meet with City Missions Team to pray and discuss upcoming events and action items as needed
Training, Education, and Experience
College degree and TESOL Certification is required as is experience in education, community outreach and volunteer recruitment. Familiarity with social media is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Ministry Platform (MP) Database is a plus; must possess aptitude to learn and use MP on a regular ongoing basis. PCPC membership is preferred. (PCPC provides support to obtain TESOL and trains employees to use MP.)
