JOB SUMMARY
NOVA CHURCH started as a church plant in 2017 and is a fast-growing and diverse church focused on both helping introduce people to faith and growing people in their faith. We are known for our large and highly passionate Dream Team of volunteers that help make NOVA the church it is.

The Worship Pastor position provides leadership and oversight of all worship ministries across the church, Including the Sunday worship experiences, conferences and special events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Scheduling on Planning Centre for Sunday services and other external and weekly events (Leadership, Team nights, New to Nova sessions etc)- The recruitment and auditioning of new members to the worship team: working alongside our Next Steps leadership and Lead Pastors in helping people join the team.- The pastoring and training of the worship team: Helping develop team members both technically and with their spiritual maturity.- Worship leading on Sunday’s and other key weekly events throughout the year (eg, Team
Nights, Staff meetings, etc)- The Worship Pastor is responsible for creating and managing the Worship Ministries budget.- Provide spiritual counsel and prayer to congregants church wide

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should demonstrate:- Ability for strategic thinking- Ability to adapt easily to change ( change in venues for example)- Ability to organize, document and implement new initiatives- A passion for seeing others thrive in worship leading and ministry- An ability to oversee effective pastoral care for a diverse group of people- A high level of enthusiasm for worship ministry and pastoral care. Hard work ethic, self-starter and ability to take initiative- Strong written and verbal communication- Attention to detail with a commitment to excellence- A teachable disposition and willingness to grow- Good resilience and adaptability to change- Musically gifted and skilled in choral, vocal and instrumental direction- Must embrace the Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths of the PAOC
