    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    The Worship Director is the primary leader and coordinator of the East End Fellowship (EEF) worship team. The Director oversees week-to-week worship gathering logistics as well as engages in spiritual discernment and leadership for forming the worship culture at EEF.  The Worship Director reports directly to the Co-Lead Pastor.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Worship Team

    • Overseas/delegates rehearsal and direction of the worship team
    • Schedules volunteer vocalists and instrumentalists
    • Assists in recruiting and orienting new worship team members
    • Provides ongoing coaching for volunteers and musicians
    • Coordinates quarterly meetings of the worship team
    • Manages Planning Center

    Sunday Large Gatherings (4:00pm)

    • Leads Spirit-filled worship regularly, incorporating various worship styles and elements
    • Assists in planning the Large Gathering each week, alongside broader staff and worship team
    • Selects music and arranges vocal and instrumental parts
    • Creates chord charts
    • Provides chord charts using CCLI Song Select and creates unique charts when needed
    • Coordinates worship team for Large Gathering when absent
    • Assists A/V team with tear down
    • Works with A/V lead to organize and maintain sound equipment
    • Occasionally leads and/or coordinates/delegates EEF choir and children’s choir

    Staff Responsibilities

    • Actively pursue God and holiness
    • Attend weekly staff meetings
    • Coordinates with Co-Lead Pastor to manage worship budget and spending
    • Regularly attend Sunday Large Gathering services
    • Regularly attend a weekly house church

    Required Qualifications:

    • An authentic and living relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
    • Experience in cross-cultural situations and a concern and sensitivity for all areas of diversity, including race, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic diversity
    • Strong communication skills and team management competency
    • Experience as an instrumentalist
    • Agreement with the doctrinal statements of East End Fellowship via the Evangelical Covenant Church (https://covchurch.org/who-we-are/beliefs/).
    • Knowledge and experience with, or willingness to learn, the Christian Community Development model.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to play gospel music as a keyboardist
    • Experience or comfortability with choir directing

    The Worship Director position is a competitive salaried, part-time position.
