Interested parties must meet the biblical conditions of a pastor as taught in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5. Must be a man. Not divorced. Adheres to Articles of Faith of the BBFI and/or The Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Must believe that salvation provided by Jesus is available to all people and is not limited to a few. He must have a sense of urgency to reach the lost, and can give examples of leading others to salvation. He will be asked to give examples of answered prayers.
Concerning education, a Bachelor of Theology and Masters in Theology is preferred, but not necessarily a reason not to hire someone if they have experience and proven effectiveness in their ministry. He must be a student of the Bible and a desire for self and educational improvements. Experience as a senior pastor is preferred, but a requirement.
Also, his spouse must be supportive of his ministry and willing to serve in the church, but will not be expected to serve as an unpaid staff member.

The pastor will have two church services a week to study and prepare for, be able to cast a vision for the future, lead and equip the membership for personal and church growth, outreach, and disciple-making. He will also need to raise funds and oversee the completion of the building project. He should be able to develop and lead the church staff, and lay leaders. He is expected to visit church members as needed, and to go soul-winning. He will conduct marriage ceremonies, funerals, and other events as needed. He will overseer events for the church. He will pastor the people.
