Requirements
This is a full-time position with a parsonage and competitive salary. A ministry-related degree or equivalent experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate spiritual maturity by living out the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5), and meet these requirements:

Youth and Children’s Pastor Combined Responsibilities Include:
• Champion the vision and values of Hope within our youth and children’s ministry
• Promote young people and get them engaged in the life of the church
• Develop and raise up young leaders
• Engage and support parents as vital partners
• Provide our youth and children’s ministry volunteers with leadership, training, and direction
• Cultivate an attractive, clean, fun, and safe environment for kids and students
• Oversee the youth and children’s ministry budgets
• Participate in regular staff meetings and one-on-ones

Youth Ministry Specific:
• Organize a ministry calendar around a rhythm of “Up, In, and Out” that includes large group worship and teaching, small group discussion and prayer, and fun events for students to invite their friends who aren’t connected to Jesus or the church
• Build and train a team of youth ministry volunteers
• Regularly teach the Bible and share the gospel with students
• Fellowship with students outside of youth group and show up at their games and activities
• Plan and coordinate special events for students, like camps and mission trips

Children’s Ministry Specific:
• Oversee our Children’s Ministry with the support of our Children’s Ministry Team
• Recruit and train new children’s ministry volunteers
• Coordinate our Sunday morning program for children from birth to 5th grade
• Schedule classroom teachers and helpers
• Review, purchase, and oversee the implementation of all curriculum and supplies
• Plan and coordinate special events for families like VBS, Advent, and our Easter Outreach
