Job Description

Koinonia Reformed Baptist Church is looking for a lead elder who would be responsible, with the help of the other elders in the church, for shepherding the flock. We are looking for a skilled teacher of God’s Word who is also passionate for reaching the lost.  He would both desire and work to disciple, shepherd, and care for the members of the church.   He would be responsible for spiritually and administratively leading the church.

Depending on salary needs, this could be either a full-time or bi-vocational position.

Qualifications

–       Meets qualifications for elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9

–       Attended or graduated from an accredited Bible College or Seminary.

–       Strong leadership skills

–       Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastoral ministry

Responsibilities

–       Prepare and deliver sermons

–       Prepare and conduct Sunday morning services

–       Pastoral needs, including hospital and home visitation, prayer, counseling

–       Oversight, along with the other elders, of ministries of the church
