    Job Description

    THIS POSITION
    Do you thrive on teaching biblically sound doctrine and have a passion for wanting to see youth grow in their knowledge of who Christ is and what that means for their lives?

    Reach out to and lead individuals (6th-12th grade) to be or become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This man must have a passion, calling and experience in making disciples. He will also equip and encourage parents to fulfill the biblical mandate of being the primary disciple-makers of their students.

    YOUR MAIN JOB TASKS WILL BE:

    • STUDENT MINISTRY LEADER
      • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of Student Ministry including but not limited to Connect Group, midweek gathering, camp, policies, and other events in order to lead students to mature as disciples of Jesus.
      • Recruit and train adult volunteers to serve in the Student Ministry.
    • SHEPHERD
      • Encourage and equip parents to make disciples in their homes.
      • Network with Trinity Christian School (TCS) staff, students, and parents to connect them to our church.
    • STAFF MEMBER
      • Attend regular staff meetings and discipleship staff meetings and work well with the staff in order to advance the mission of the church.
      • Develop and administer the annual Student Ministry budget

    Essential job functions:
    ● Support the Senior Pastor in the overall vision of the church particularly as it relates to students and their parents.
    ● Coordinate and oversee all aspects of Student Ministry including but not limited to Connect Group, midweek gathering, camp, policies, and other events in order to lead students to mature as disciples of Jesus.
    ● Encourage and equip parents to make disciples in their homes.
    ● Provide a safe, healthy, and structured environment for all students.
    ● Recruit and train adult volunteers to serve in the Student Ministry.
    ● Collaborate with adult volunteers and parents to promote a shared vision for ministry.
    ● Work with our Ministry Safe Administrator to ensure background checks are completed and up to date on all adult volunteers.
    ● Ensure activities are scheduled, calendared, and communicated to students and their parents in a way that encourages partnership and participation.
    ● Follow up with Student Ministry visitors and their parents.
    ● Develop and administer the annual Student Ministry budget.
    ● Oversee the ordering and management of Student Ministry curriculum and supplies.
    ● Attend regular staff meetings and discipleship staff meetings.
    ● Work well with the TBC staff in order to advance the mission of the church.
    ● Network with Trinity Christian School (TCS) staff, students, and parents to connect them to our church.
    ● Be a faithful member who gives biblically.
    ● Abide by all personnel policies of TBC.
    ● All other duties as assigned by the Discipleship and Missions Pastor.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must be a follower of Jesus, exhibiting a growing relationship and spiritual maturity
    • A man called to ministry whose life is in line with the biblical mandates for leaders found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9.
    • An effective communicator who agrees with and teaches in accordance with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
    • Be able to clearly articulate the Gospel of Jesus
    • A self-motivated leader, capable of casting, imparting and following vision for ministry
    • Possess relational skills with students, parents, and staff
    • One who possesses basic administrative and organizational skills, discipline, and focus
    • University graduate, preferably with a complimentary major to enhance ministry to students; Seminary education or equivalent experience and training in Christian Education.

    Physical Requirements:
    ● The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds.
    ● Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, and pull daily.
    ● Required to perform repetitive physical tasks (computer keyboarding, writing, etc.)

    BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
    The target base salary range for this position is competitive and part of a compensation package including vacation time, sick time, life insurance, and health insurance. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
