Position: Full-Time Associate Minister of Youth and Children

Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria, IL, seeks a full-time Associate Minister of Youth and Children. The ideal candidate will have a strong faith in Jesus Christ, a calling to serve in youth and children’s ministry, and a passion for missions. This person will primarily teach, counsel, and lead youth through Bible studies, missions and spiritual growth, while also overseeing the children’s ministry.

Job Description

Title: Associate Minister of Youth and Children

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all youth and children’s programs
• Plan and conduct Bible studies, classes, and small groups for youth
• Oversee the children’s ministry
• Organize special projects such as retreats, camps, and mission/service activities
• Enlist and train volunteers
• Coordinate communication plans with the Communications team
• Prepare and manage the budget

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Background check required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and oral communication skills
