    Job Description

    JOB TITLE: Missional Outreach Coordinator

    HOURS: 10-20 hrs/weekly

    COMPENSATION: $1,075 – $2,150 a month, 2 weeks PTO plus a Sabbath Week (December 25-31)

    REPORTS TO: Katie or Chuck Fowler (co-lead pastors)

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    Required:

    • Flourishing as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
    • Possesses personal initiative and is self-motivated.
    • Has strong relational and interpersonal skills.
    • A people-oriented “gatherer” and community builder.
    • Able to share and contextualize the Gospel in ways meaningful to a listener.
    • Has strong communication skills, both one-on-one and with groups.
    • Has synergy with Nova Church’s vision, culture, and ethos.
    • Carries theological commitments that are compatible with ECO’s Essential Tenets.

    Preferred:

    • Experience leading others in missional efforts.
    • Graduate level theological education or demonstrated equivalent competencies.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Train, equip, and mobilize the community of Nova Church towards our shared mission to invite people to enjoy life with God.
    • Model, teach, and coach others how to share the Gospel through word and action.
    • Plan and lead outreach efforts, recruiting and mobilizing volunteer teams.
    • Coach, train, and support individual leaders in cultivating missional expressions of the church that are rooted in specific places or relational networks.
    • In collaboration with other staff and leaders, develop and execute missional strategies aimed to connect with unchurched people in central Denver, particularly the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
    • Help Nova cultivate a faithful missional presence locally and globally as we develop partnerships to pursue God’s renewing work of justice.
