    Job Description
    The Youth Director (YD) is responsible for restarting and leading our youth ministry with special focus on high schoolers. The YD will need to be a spiritually mature person, able to administratively organize, comfortable with leading and teaching groups of students, but is also a winsome and likable, easy for students to connect with.

    The Key Objectives of the Youth Director
    • Build social cohesion amongst the high school students in our church
    • Develop and oversee programs like: —-
    Weekly youth group
    Bible studies
    Retreats/Camp trips (summer and winter)
    Work together with the Middle School Youth Director to create a unified ministry for students from 6th grade through 12th grade

    Other Responsibilities
    • Cultivate deep relationships with student outside of weekly events
    • Pursue personal opportunities for pastoral care of students
    • Cast vision and create culture around relational investment in students’ lives by adult volunteers
    • Recruit, support, and encourage teams of staff, volunteers, and parents to create a long-term, sustainable ministry
    • Find creative ways for youth to feel seen and known well by our CCE church family
    • Find ways for students to serve locally and lead with them in service
    • Assist in the middle school ministry’s main events

    Qualities and Skill Requirements
    • Spiritually mature; understands and applies the Gospel to their own lives, is committed to the local church and prepared to become a member
    • Emotionally mature; receives and provides critical feedback well and manages tasks and stress effectively
    • Has an entrepreneurial spirit; likes star ng things new and has a natural tendency to take initiative
    • Passionate about mentoring and sharing the gospel with young people
    • Proven leader with volunteer groups
    • Strong relational and communication skills, both written and in-person

    Hours
    This job is possibly part me or full me, depending on the candidate
    • 25 – 40 hours per week
    • In office at least one full day per week
    • A ends weekly staff meetings
    • Sunday morning worship
    • Quarterly staff off-sites
