Family Ministry Coordinator- Elementary (Grade 1-4) Discipleship We are looking for an enthusiastic disciple-maker who loves creating safe and engaging places for kids in grade 1 through 4 to develop their faith in Jesus Christ.

We are looking for an enthusiastic disciple-maker who loves creating safe and engaging places for kids in grade 1 through 4 to develop their faith in Jesus Christ. This person will model a deep commitment to their Christian faith while inviting others to do the same. This person loves big group games, getting crafty, and communicating the gospel to a crowd. The successful candidate will join the Family Ministry Team in the goal of cultivating faith in the next generation of our church.

Responsibilities:
Kids Church Elementary Discipleship:
(Sunday mornings)
Co-create Bible teaching lessons (Grades 1-4) including:
–   gender-based small group activities and
–   large group bible lessons

Teach large group Bible lessons

Coordinate and equip volunteer leaders

Implement Child Safety protocols and emergency procedures

Contribute during weekly Team Strategy meetings (Monday evenings; 2 hours)

Actively engage in weekly team Formation meetings (Saturdays; 2 hours)

Qualifications:
Must be 17 years of age or older
Must have demonstrated a personal commitment to Jesus through baptism
Must have 1-2 years of volunteer or employment experience working with elementary-aged children
(6-9 years old)
Must be an actively serving member of a local church (preferably but not limited to Terwillegar
Community Church )
Must have experience leading games and activities with large groups of children
Prior experience volunteering in Kids Ministry (TCC Kids’ Church is preferred)

Position details:
$15-$22/hour depending on experience and qualifications
Flexible 10-15 hours/ week

Position Duration:
September 2024- June 2025

Employment extension possible upon completion.
