    Job Description

    Job Description: The key role of the Discipleship Director is to empower individuals to move towards Christ-centered living. This is accomplished by teaching classes, mentoring leaders and resourcing Pastors/ministry leaders with the necessary tools needed for their area.

    Accountability: The Discipleship Director shall report directly to the Associate Pastor/Director of
    Operations.

    Qualifications:
    • A committed follower of Jesus Christ, a member of Broadway Church and agrees to live in accordance with biblical values and with the church’s mission, core values and administrative guidelines.
    • Excellent people skills and ability to lead and work with a team of volunteers.
    • Self-motivated, organized and both a team builder and a team player.
    • Minimum of 10 years of pastoral experience.
    • Graduate level education or equivalent level of theological training.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all Sunday and mid-week discipleship classes and courses. This includes working alongside the Lead Pastor to ensure the Sunday Bible class is promoted and supported.
    • Oversee small groups, including Genesis Change Groups. This includes promoting small groups, raising and training leaders.
    • Oversee Men’s and Women’s Ministry.
    • Lead the Discipleship staff who oversee Alpha, Celebrate Recovery and Baptisms.
    • Mentor key young leaders and develop strategies to raise leaders.
    • Preach on rotation at various campuses.
    • Participate in the weekly Prayer and Care Groups, leadership lesson and staff info swap.
    • Available for pastoral duties during Sunday worship services.

    Compensation:
    • Salary range – $70,000-84,000 based upon experience and qualifications
    • Full extended health benefits, pension/RRSP plan, monthly cellphone allowance
    • 20 days paid vacation (4 weeks)

    Required Skills
    Preaching/teaching, leadership development, strategic planning.

    Experience Required

    Minimum 10 years of pastoral experience. Graduate level education or equivalent level of theological training.
