    “Central, a large, ethnically diverse, multi-generational church in the heart of the Niagara Region. We are currently in need of a dynamic, passionate and qualified individual to serve as an Associate Pastor! Are you interested in impacting the lives of hundreds of people? Do you have a passion for reaching people for Christ? Do you dream of leading in a cutting-edge ministry environment? We are seeking a pastor who can join our team!”
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:
    • Groups:
    o Oversee 300 people through Groups (average 30 leaders with 10 people in each)
    o Disciple Group leaders including encouragement, accountability, group management, etc. o Recruit and Train new Group leaders in alignment with our leadership system
    o Participate along with your Group leaders in group leader meetings, group launches, assimilating new people into groups o Lead a Community Group
    o Assist Group Leaders with: group set up; launching; communicate information to assigned Administration personal for tracking & advertising
    o Growth Tracking System- Walk alongside people who desire to grow in their leadership skills (A Place for More follow up; Becoming a Leader training; Group leader training; Next steps) and administrative duties involved
    • General:
    o Be fully engaged Sundays 8am-2pm unless on vacation or special permission from direct report o Attend all Staff meetings and Team meetings unless on vacation or special permission from direct report
    o Attend and be fully engaged on Encounter nights unless on vacation or special permission from direct report
    o Perform Weddings, Funerals, Baptisms, as requested
    • Pastoral Connect/Care:
    o Provide initial contact for people from your geographical area (and others assigned to you) assisting them in getting connected at Central (primarily through Groups)
    o Care: This includes facilitating visitation, prayer, preliminary counselling, and referring to external support services in alignment with our Care System
    o Provide confidential pastoral guidance for people as required
    o Use our QR code/CCB systems to track connections with people including initial and 30day follow ups. Target is 10 per week
    • Partnering:
    o Work alongside all departments to collectively serve our Church family
    o Work with volunteers/sub-contractors
    o Approach the day to day work activities with a flexible and positive attitude
    o Perform other duties in conjunction with HR as assigned by direct report

    Required Skills

    • Digitally savvy. Comfortable with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. • Able to lead volunteer teams
    • Reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic
    • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
    • Are self-motivated and able to take initiative
    • Has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
    • A person who has a working knowledge of Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

    Education Required

    A person with a Bible College degree

    Experience Required

    A minimum of 3-5 years ministry experience
