At Midland Reformed Church in Midland, MI our ultimate goal is to be equipped and sent out with the good news of God’s grace, truth, and peace in Jesus Christ. For that reason we are praying for a full-time Pastor of Worship and Discipleship to help us grow as Christ’s disciples through the integration of Sunday worship and weekly practices.

Job Description:

Worship (45%)

• Plan and lead Sunday morning worship services
• Recruit, train, and lead musicians from the MRC congregation, including weekly rehearsals
• Emphasize the development and inclusion of children, youth, and young adults in worship
• Manage and maintain technical aspects and volunteers
• Coordinate and plan special services
• Preach on an as-needed basis (6-8 times/year)

Discipleship (45%)

• Develop and maintain a discipleship pathway
• Equip the people of MRC to serve and witness to the community
• Revitalize and provide support for small group ministry
• Identify and develop new leaders from the congregation

Administrative (10%)

• Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly Shepherding Elders meetings, quarterly consistory meetings
• Prepare and manage annual budgets for worship and discipleship related expenses
