WORK HOUR: 20-40 HOURS/ WEEK
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Be a member in good standing
- Show a desire and ability to effectively fill the position here in specified.
- Two years ministry experience is preferred but not required.
- Two years of Bible College or Seminary is preferred but not required.
OVERVIEW:
This position will develop and cast a vision to teach, recruit, prepare, organize, and perform all of
the Kid’s Ministries at Celebration Church. This candidate must have a heart for children and
must have a desire to see them mature in their faith. The candidate should also have an outward
focus that seeks to develop new methods that minister to the needs of our community and to
the area elementary schools.
This candidate must be outgoing, energetic and contagious! We need a “self-starter” who is able
to meet a congregation of people, get to know them, learn faces and memorize names and who
can “jump in” and begin to develop a leadership team, recruit new volunteers and train and
encourage the volunteers we have.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Directly reports to the Lead Pastor. The position will be evaluated at the end of 2024 School Year
and then annually. Will coordinate with the Lead Pastor and work closely with other staff to
ensure efficient ministry.
JOB DUTIES FOCUS ON CRADLE-5TH GRADE MINISTRIES
- Provide Ministry and coordinate the training of others to do likewise.
- Coordinate the weekly education (worship experiences, small groups, outreach programs).
- Coordinate an overall curriculum plan for children cradle through 5th grade.
- Coordinate and implement an annual Children’s Ministry ministry budget proposal and administer that budget as approved by the Lead Pastor.
- Create events for parents related to their parenting roles and activities for families (coordinate with staff).
- Provide opportunities for members of the children’s ministry to be directly involved in missions and ministry – both locally and outside the community.
- Coordinate the training and mentoring of children who are sensing a call to ministry vocation.
- Coordinate the planning to ensure children and leaders experience personal worship and praise through preaching and music activities.
- Coordinate the enlisting, discipling, training and motivating of children to serve in the church.
- Share the gospel with lost children and parents on an on going basis, both individually and cooperatively.
- Provide/Coordinate ministry care for children and parents (hospital visits, counseling, prayer support, baptisms education).
- Provide Outreach and Transportation Ministry as needed for children whose parents may not attend Celebration Church.
