We are looking for a person who is called to youth and young adult ministry to join our pastoral team at Vineyard Church Maryville in Maryville, TN. Our church is a healthy, growing church who has a middle school and high school youth group of over 100 students and a solid 20+ volunteers. We are looking for an authentic follower of Christ who is a visionary leader, great communicator, and has a heart to reach, raise up and pour into young people.

• Must be fiercely committed to making disciples and to identifying, training and empowering new leaders.

Job Description:

• Create and maintain a compelling vision for student ministry, in conjunction with the XP.
• Oversee and facilitate ministry to students grades 6-12.
• Oversee and facilitate ministry to our college age young adults.
• Provide pastoral support to students, young adults, and parents.
• Create and manage an annual budget, as approved by the Financial Board.
• Lead and execute retreats, camps and other social and spiritual events for students.
• Develop students to become servant-leaders.
• Plan and execute outreach events and social events.
• Coordinate the training and mentoring of potential and emerging leaders.
• Develop healthy, ongoing relationships with other pastors and churches.
• Spend an appropriate amount of time in study, prayer and preparation for teaching.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A strong personal relationship with Jesus.
• A strong sense of calling to serve youth, young adults and families.
• 2+ years paid or volunteer youth ministry experience.
• Great communication skills up front and in small groups.
• A Bachelor’s Degree completed or in process (preferred).
• An understanding of Kingdom of God Theology and Vineyard DNA.
• A history of being a team builder and developer of others.
• The ability to be a strategic & visionary leader.
