    Job Description

    Position Purpose and Objectives:

    The Minister to Students is responsible for developing, implementing and promoting the Student Ministry at First Baptist Church of New Port Richey. This includes education and activities for Students to reach the church body and the community for purposes of salvation, spiritual growth and family enrichment.  Emphasis will be to develop and maintain a vibrant Student Ministry team while identifying and developing servants to maintain and propel the ministry of First Baptist Church of New Port Richey, in relation to the Vision Framework at FBCNPR. This position reports to the Senior Pastor

    Requirements:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude in performing all work in order to exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
    • Design, direct, conduct, and evaluate the Student Ministry of a dynamic and growing church to include:
    o Preach, Teach, Counsel, and Invest in the lives of Students and their families.
    o Demonstrate a desire to grow within the position and pursue excellence in ministerial growth toward ordination.
    o Coordinate the weekly Student Ministry disciple-making strategies including regular worship opportunities, retreats and mentoring relationships
    o Share the gospel with lost on an ongoing basis, both individually and cooperatively
    o Network and develop a Student Ministry strategy with local public and private schools in the surrounding area.

    Administrative responsibilities include:
    o Assist the Senior Pastor in establishing goals and objectives for the Student Ministry initiate strategies to fulfill them
    o Assist in the preparation and management of the budget for the Student Ministry within the parameters established by the Ministry of Administration at FBC
    o As a loyal team member, cooperate with other staff members and follow the leadership of the Senior Pastor
    o Assist other ministers as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and special church-wide events
    o Other duties as assigned

    RELATIONSHIPS:
    • Reports to the Senior Pastor
    • Works in cooperation with all staff
    • Interacts frequently with support staff personnel and ministry volunteers

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
    • Student Ministers family must be committed to the mission and core values of First Baptist Church of New Port Richey
    • Must be a faithful supporter of the church through tithes and offerings
    • Work includes local travel, some national and international travel
    • Duties require irregular work hours
    • College degree preferred
