Responsible for: Student Ministry (Middle School and High School)
Collaboration with: Children’s Ministry
Our Vision
The role of the Girls Student Ministry Coordinator is to help execute a strategy that ensures Middle School and High School students are fully engaged in the Church and equips them to grow in their own relationship with Jesus Christ.
Specific Responsibilities
High School
• Assist and participate in creative planning and vision casting
• Recruit, coordinate, and train Servant Leaders
• Assist in planning sermon series and teach on occasion
• Build relationships with students and their families
• Create a girl’s discipleship culture
• Engage with students outside ministry settings (schools, sports, community events, etc.)
Middle School
• Assist and participate in creative planning and vision casting
• Recruit, coordinate, and train Servant Leaders
• Assist in planning sermon series and teach on occasion
• Build relationships with students and their families
• Create a girl’s discipleship culture
• Engage with students outside ministry settings (schools, sports, community events, etc.)
• Partner with Bethany Christian School in reaching families
Outreach
• Assist and participate in church-wide outreach events with students
• Assist in leading International Mission Trip for HS students
General Responsibilities
• Active personal participation in the life of the church (Gather, Connect, Grow, and Serve)
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Google Suite Proficiency
• Run the Rio Students social media accounts
Education & Experience
• Bachelors Degree
• 2-3 years of experience working or volunteering in Student Ministry settings
Qualifications
• Be in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Agree with Rio Vista Church’s Statement of Faith and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
• Teach God’s Word in an accurate, compelling, and age-specific manner.
• Ability to engage, converse, and answer the questions of non-believing students.
• Posses strong leadership characteristics and uses skills to train, equip and inspire.
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to initiate and complete tasks without prompting.
• Ability to take direction and receive feedback.
• Maintain strong relationships with other partners in the ministry.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• High attention to detail in planning.
