    PT/FT Status: Part-time

    Pay Type: Salaried

    Position Description: The Modern Worship Leader is responsible for leading the congregation in contemporary worship through music, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere and collaborating with the pastoral and worship team to plan and execute weekly worship services.
    This part-time role requires a passion for worship, strong musical abilities and a heart for leading others into the presence of God.

    Responsibilities:
    ● Worship Leadership: Lead the congregation in modern worship during weekly services, special events and occasional gatherings.
    ● Team Collaboration: Work closely with the pastoral staff, worship team members and technical team to plan and execute worship services that align with the church’s mission and vision.
    ● Music Selection: Curate a diverse selection of contemporary Christian music that resonates with the congregation, ensuring a balanced mix of new songs and familiar favorites.
    ● Rehearsals: Schedule and conduct regular rehearsals with the worship team, ensuring that all members are well-prepared and confident in their roles.
    ● Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists and other worship team members, fostering a culture of excellence and spiritual growth.
    ● Service Planning: Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan worship service elements, including song arrangements, transitions and creative expressions of worship.
    ● Spiritual Leadership: Model a life of worship both on and off the stage, encouraging spiritual growth within the worship team and congregation.
    ● Technical Coordination: Work with the sound and media team to ensure high-quality audio and visual elements that enhance the worship experience.
    ● Administrative Duties: Manage worship-related administrative tasks, such as scheduling, song licensing and communication with team members.

    Qualifications
    ● Spiritual Commitment: A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out a biblical lifestyle.
    ● Musical Proficiency: Proficiency in leading worship with guitar, piano, or another lead instrument, along with strong vocal abilities.
    ● Worship Experience: Prior experience leading modern worship in a church setting.
    ● Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a worship team, fostering both musical and spiritual growth.
    ● Creativity: Ability to incorporate creative elements into worship services, enhancing the worship experience.
    ● Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with audio, visual, and multimedia technology used in modern worship services.
    ● Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well with a diverse population.
    ● Flexibility: Willingness and ability to adapt to the unique needs of the church and its congregation.

    Time Commitment:
    ● Sundays, 9-12. Service is at 10:30 AM.
    ● Rehearsals: One during the week for 2-3 hours.
    ● Special Events: Availability for additional services or events as required (e.g., holidays, special worship nights). No more than four a year.
    ● Weekly meeting with Lead Pastor and AV Media Coordinator.
    ● Administration: Manage worship-related administrative tasks, such as scheduling, song licensing and communication with team members.

    Compensation:
    ● Salary: $25,000-$30,000 a year.
